First Squad detectives are looking for three men who robbed a teenager of Nike LeBron sneakers at gunpoint Wednesday in Freeport, Nassau County police said.

The teen, a boy, 15, advertised three pairs of the LeBron style sneakers, valued at $350, for sale on the Internet, detectives said.

The boy drove to Bedford Avenue and Utz Street with three friends, ages 18, 15 and 14, to complete a transaction at about 3 p.m., police said.

After they arrived, three men approached their vehicle, including one armed with a handgun. One of the three tried to take the keys to the vehicle but was only able to remove the car-alarm remote, police said.

The men took the sneakers and then fled westbound on Bedford Avenue, police said. No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
