Cops: Teens arrested on burglary charges
Two teenagers were arrested inside an Oyster Bay office building and charged with third degree burglary, said Nassau County Police. An undetermined amount of cash was recovered at the scene, police said.
Michael S. Coats, 19, no known address, and Josue E. Barrientos, 18, Oyster Bay, were discovered Friday by the 66-year-old man police said they believe to be the owner of the building at 29 W. Main St. After confronting the teens, the man left the building and called police, who arrested the pair.
Coats and Barrientos pleaded not guilty at their arraignments Saturday in First District Court, Hempstead. Barrientos is out on $2,500 bail. Coats is being held on $10,000 bond or $5,000 bail at Nassau County Correctional Center, East Meadow. Both are due back in court Tuesday.
