Two teenagers were arrested after they robbed a Chinese food delivery man at gunpoint late Tuesday night on the same Hempstead street where one of them lives, police said.

Lamel Blaylock, 18, of 74 Maple Ave., and Shakim Sheppard, 16, of 63 Elm Ave., both in Hempstead, were both charged with two counts of robbery, first-degree criminal use of a firearm and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, Nassau County police said.

Both are scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said the two robbed the 29-year-old victim as he made a delivery to a home on Elm Avenue. Police said Blaylock grabbed the victim "around the neck," while Sheppard displayed the handgun and demanded money.

After grabbing the cash -- and the food -- police said the two teens ran to Sheppard's nearby house, where they were later arrested by responding Hempstead Village police officers.

Police said a loaded .38-caliber pistol was recovered from Sheppard's bedroom.
