Nassau County police are looking for a thief who stole a train passenger's shoes and cash at the Cedarhurst LIRR station on Saturday morning.

Police said the suspect walked up behind a 57-year-old man about 7 a.m. at the Cedarhurst station and ordered the man to kick off his Nike tennis shoes.

The thief also demanded cash, then ran away after the man handed over his money, police said. The victim was not hurt.

There was no description of the thief. Police are asking anyone with information to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
