Cops: Tires, rims swiped from auto dealer
Seventh Squad detectives are looking for bandits who swiped $26,000 worth of tires and rims from seven new vehicles parked at an automobile dealership early Tuesday, Nassau County police said.
Police said the bandits struck between 2 and 6 a.m. at the lot of Merrick Dodge Chrysler Jeep at 3614 Sunrise Hwy., Wantagh.
They used a jack to raise the vehicles, took all four tires and rims from each and left the vehicles on concrete blocks, police said.
Police have no description of the suspects.
