Two men were arrested Tuesday morning shortly after they burglarized a Hempstead home, police said.

Luke P. Mack, 20, of 650 Winthrop Dr., Uniondale, and Aaron C. Gause, 21, 109 Midland Rd., Roosevelt, "acted in consort" to remove property from a Jane Street home at 9:50 p.m., Nassau County police said.

At 10 a.m., responding officers "located and arrested the defendants on the corner of Broadfield Road and Jane Street," police said in a news release. "The property recovered was a white and red bag, a car stereo and two bottles of alcohol."

Each suspect was charged with second-degree burglary and will be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
