Police are searching for two men who robbed a Valero gas station in North Valley Stream Sunday evening then fled the scene in a maroon Kia Soul.

The robbery at the station on Franklin Avenue occurred at 8:20 p.m., Nassau County police said. Police said the robbers "threatened the use of a gun," ordering one station attendant to the ground while forcing a second attendant to open the cash register.

It was not clear how much cash was taken.

One robber, who police said had "a heavy build," wore a black ski mask, black coat and blue pants with a yellow stripe. The second robber, who police said was taller and thin, wore a white mask, white gloves, a black sweater and black pants.

The two ran from the station on foot, police said, but then got into the Soul parked on nearby Agnes Court, made a U-turn -- and fled southbound on Franklin Avenue.

No one was injured.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
