Cops: Two men steal gold chain from pedestrian in Roosevelt

Nassau County police are investigating a robbery that took place early Saturday in Roosevelt, authorities said.

Police said two men approached a 27-year-old victim walking near Babylon Turnpike and Seaman Court at 4:40 a.m. One of the men displayed a black handgun, struck the victim in the head and stole a gold chain from around his neck, police said.

The victim suffered a bruise on his head but refused medical attention. The two robbers ran south on Babylon Turnpike.
