Cops: Two sought in Hempstead home invasion
Police are searching for two armed men who stole a car, a computer and a wallet during a home invasion Thursday night in Hempstead.
Nassau County police said the robbery occurred on Stewart Avenue at 9:40 p.m.
They said the two robbers, armed with shotguns, approached the resident as he was entering his home after exiting his car -- and forced him into the house, tying him up.
The victim was not injured, police said.
But the robbers stole the wallet and computer and then fled in the victim's 2003 Chevrolet.
Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to anonymously call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
