Cops: 2 sought in armed robbery of New Cassel food deliveryman

Police are searching for two armed suspects -- one with a knife, the other with a gun -- who robbed a Chinese food deliveryman Thursday night on a street in New Cassel.

No one was injured. Nassau County police said the suspects fled with cash and food.

The robbery occurred on Floral Lane at about 10 p.m.

Police said the deliveryman was approached by the armed suspects, who made him "lay down on the ground," and the victim handed over his wallet, which included cash, his driver's license, credit cards and other personal papers.

Police said the suspects are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s and that both wore dark clothing.

No other information was immediately available.
