Eighth Squad detectives Thursday arrested two Nassau County women in nine burglaries in Massapequa, Westbury, Hicksville and Bethpage since Oct. 3, police said.

Gina Pfenning, 20, of 80 Weaver Dr., East Massapequa, and Brittney Waters, 25, of 243 Normandy Rd., North Massapequa, stole and then pawned several items in the burglaries between Oct. 3 and Dec. 22, Nassau County police said.

Pfenning is charged with seven counts of burglary, grand larceny, forgery, criminal possession of stolen property and identity theft.

Waters is charged with seven counts of burglary, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

They are scheduled to be arraigned Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said Pfenning was identified by two fingerprints left behind at two separate burglaries.

Also, an article tracking system determined the defendants had several items that matched proceeds from some of the burglaries, police said.

Four of the burglaries were in Massapequa, two each were in Hicksville and Bethpage, and one was in Westbury, police said.

The last two burglaries were Dec. 22 on Simone Court in Bethpage, police said.
