Cops: Uniondale man stabs neighbor after argument
Nassau police say they've arrested a Uniondale man who ended an argument with a neighbor by stabbing him in the stomach.
Police said the suspect, Ramon Blanco, 46, of 1164 Walnut St., is accused of pulling an 11-inch knife from his waistband during the 10:10 p.m. argument Saturday night, stabbing the 60-year-old victim and running away.
A police spokeswoman said Sunday she didn't know what the two had been arguing about.
About two hours after the stabbing, detectives from the Baldwin-based First Squad spotted Blanco on the corner of Henry Street and Locust Avenue, found the knife and charged him with assault and possession of a dangerous weapon, police said.
He was scheduled to be arraigned Sunday. Arraignment information wasn't immediately available.
