Cops: Valley Stream woman charged in stabbing of acquaintance

A Valley Stream woman has been charged with stabbing an acquaintance in the stomach as he left an Inwood deli Friday morning, Nassau police said.
Katrina Cruz, 20, was arrested at her home, 613 Rockaway Ave., and is expected to be arraigned Saturday on charges of second-degree assault and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon, police said.
She threw a cup at the victim's face and stabbed him just after 12:45 a.m. as he left a deli on Bayview Avenue, police said.
The man, 23, was taken to St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, police said.
Other details were not immediately available, police said.
