First Squad detectives are looking for two men armed with a revolver who tried to rob a man in the driveway of his Roosevelt home late Monday, Nassau County police said.

Police said the victim was getting out of his car in the driveway of his East Pennywood Avenue home at 10:05 p.m. when the two suspects -- one of whom had a silver revolver -- approached him and demanded money.

The victim, 35, turned his pockets inside out, showing them he had no cash.

One of the suspects punched the victim in the mouth, giving him a bloody, swollen lip, police said.

The suspects then ran off west on East Pennywood Avenue.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
