Cops: Victim reports W. Hempstead shooting

Nassau County police are investigating a Tuesday night shooting that was reported by the victim.

Police said the 911 call was made about 8 p.m. from an area near Roosevelt and West Hempstead. The victim had driven from another undisclosed location.

The wounded man was not identified. Police gave his age as 21 or 22.
