According to Nassau County police, Lawrence Aprigliano, 60, of 65 Hillside Ave., Williston Park, approached a girl, 12, on April 13 at the Williston Park Public Library and asked for her telephone number. Nassau County Police have arrested a Williston Park man and charged him with endangering the welfare of a child after police say he asked a 12-year-old girl for her telephone number.

Lawrence Aprigliano, 60, of 65 Hillside Ave., approached the girl at the Williston Park Public Library on April 13 at 2:45 p.m., police said.

According to police, Aprigliano tried to talk to the girl in the main part of the library, followed her into the children's section and asked for her number.

The girl then left the room and told a library employee.

Nassau police detectives arrested Aprigliano at his home on Friday at 3:50 p.m. He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and will be arraigned on Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
