A Williston Park woman was arrested Saturday night for driving while intoxicated as her young daughter sat in the backseat, Nassau police said.

Police stopped Maria Hamilton, 37, as she drove a 2005 Nissan Altima south on Searingtown Road in North Hills at 11:40 p.m. for failing to keep her car within a lane.

Police said when they approached, Hamilton appeared intoxicated. Her 1-year-old daughter was in the backseat.

Hamilton was arrested and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, and several violations of the vehicle and traffic law.

She was scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
