Cops: Woman hit by car in Garden City dies

A female jogger with no identification on her who was struck Friday morning by a motorist in Garden City died Friday afternoon, Nassau police said.
The 64-year-old woman, who had been jogging on Kensington Road near the intersection of Salisbury Avenue, sustained multiple traumas, police said, and was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m. at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola.
Her identity is being withheld until her family is notified.
The accident, which involves no criminality, continues to be investigated by detectives.
Just before noon, a 2003 Honda CRV driven by a 43-year-old West Hempstead woman driver struck the jogger, police said. The driver stayed at the scene and no charges have been filed, police said.
