A Westbury woman died after her car swerved to avoid another vehicle and crashed, Nassau police said.

Bertha Falla, 58, was driving a 2011 Toyota west on Old Country Road at 6:19 a.m. when the accident took place near Tennyson Avenue, police said.

Falla's car left the roadway and struck a utility pole and bench, police said.

She was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow where she was pronounced dead at 7:12 a.m.

There is no apparent criminality in the incident, police said.
