A Woodmere man was arrested Wednesday after he tried to lure teenage girls into his car in separate instances, exposing himself one time and stalking a victim another time, Nassau police said.

Michael Chemick, 23, was driving his blue 2010 Honda Accord in North Bellmore about 2:40 p.m. Sept. 26 when he beckoned to a 14-year-old girl walking on Fish Avenue and Newbridge Road, police said.

After rolling down his window to ask her to come over, he began asking her questions, then shouted obscenities and exposed himself to her, police said.

The teenager backed away and ran, police said.

Then at 3 p.m. Monday, Chemick was in his car, when he kept asking to talk to a 15-year-old girl walking on Beltagh and Jefferson avenues in Bellmore, police said.

The teenager told police it was the third time in two weeks that Chemick had tried to talk to her or followed her in his car, police said.

No injuries were reported, police said.

First Precinct detectives arrested Chemick Wednesday morning outside his home at 1079 Highland Place. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on charges of attempted luring of a child, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree stalking.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call 516-573-6153.
