An employee of a Massapequa Park restaurant was robbed as he left work late Wednesday, Nassau County police said.

The victim, a man, 26, was leaving by the back door of the Smokin' Al's restaurant, at 4847 Merrick Rd., at about 11:25 p.m. when two masked men, including one with a handgun, approached him in the alley, police said.

The two suspects took the victim's backpack, an iPad and $20 in cash, police said.

The two fled north on Park Boulevard, and the victim was not hurt, police said.
