Parts of the Long Island Expressway and Route 106/107 have reopened after a Nassau County police investigation into a "serious accident."

Northbound lanes on Route 106/107 at the Long Island Expressway as well as the westbound LIE off ramp at Exit 41 in Hicksville were closed for about an hour, police said.

A police spokesman said a call about the accident came in at 11:27 a.m., but he did not have additional details.
