DOT: Crash downs signal pole, slows traffic on Jericho Turnpike in Jericho
A vehicle that crashed into a traffic signal pole in Jericho on Saturday morning has caused the closure of Jericho Turnpike between Jericho Plaza and Old Hamlet Drive, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred about 7:15 a.m., the agency said.
Nassau County police said motorists should avoid Jericho Turnpike between North Broadway and North Marginal Road due to repairs for a down pole and wires.
Additional details about the crash were not immediately available.
