A driver suffered minor injuries when her Honda flipped over on a narrow street in Long Beach on Saturday morning, according to Long Beach Fire Department Chief John Marino.
The crash happened on Mitchell Avenue around 11 a.m. and the woman was trapped in the car when firefighters responded roughly four minutes after the accident occurred, Marino said.
"She was talking to us. We removed the windshield to get her out," the chief told Newsday, saying the woman was transported to a hospital with "cuts, little bruises."
The street was shut down for "roughly an hour" as first responders cleared the turned-over vehicle from the road, Marino said.
The vehicle struck a parked car, which suffered "minor damage just from this lady’s car leaning against it," Marino said.
The cause of the crash still under investigation by the Long Beach Police Department, which Newsday could not reach for comment.
