Two pedestrians were injured on Saturday afternoon when an SUV in the parking lot outside the Target store in Valley Stream crashed, according to authorities.

A driver reversed a 2023 Nissan and hit two pedestrians, a man and a woman, who were walking near the store adjacent to the Green Acres Mall on Sunrise Highway around 3:18 p.m., Nassau County police said in a release. The vehicle struck the barriers in front of the Target and hit the building, causing minimal damage, police said.

Both the man, 39, and woman, 34, were transported to hospitals with minor injuries, police said. The driver, a 28-year-old woman, was uninjured, police said.
