Authorities are investigating the robbery of a Valley Stream bank on Saturday morning, Nassau police said.

Detectives said a man entered the Roslyn Savings Bank branch at 75 North Central Ave. about 11:30 a.m. and passed a note that demanded money to a teller. Witnesses described the man as between 47 and 52 years old with a shaved head, pale skin, no facial hair and wearing dark sunglasses, a black athletic jacket and black shoes and blue jeans.

The teller put an "undetermined amount of U.S. currency in a black bag" and the man fled the bank on foot, police said. Two customers and five employees were in the bank at the time of the robbery, police said, adding that no weapons were displayed and no injuries were reported.

Detectives ask that anyone with information call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
