A Freeport man faces 7 to 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to killing a Port Washington woman in a drunken driving crash last year, prosecutors said.

More than two hours after the deadly Sept. 2 accident in Freeport, Kevin Allen's blood-alcohol content was .19 percent -- more than two times the legal limit of .08 percent, Nassau County prosecutors said in a news release.

Allen was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban north on Main Street at about 8:25 p.m. when he struck the left side of a 2003 BMW heading west on Woodside Avenue, prosecutors said.

The BMW driver, TeAirra Bunn, 24, of Port Washington, was pronounced dead at the scene, and her passenger, a 15-year-old boy, sustained a shoulder injury, prosecutors said.

Allen, 45, pleaded guilty in Mineola Thursday morning to two felonies, aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated driving while intoxicated, prosecutors said.

"Nothing can undo the pain this defendant has caused, but I hope today's guilty plea provides Ms. Bunn's friends and family with some solace," Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice said in a statement.

Judge William Donnino pledged a prison sentence of 7 to 14 years, prosecutors said. Allen is scheduled to be sentenced June 29.
