A Lynbrook man has been charged with scamming Sandy storm victims by failing to do repair work after homeowners paid him, authorities said.

Rodrigo Leiton, 51, faces multiple felonies, including grand larceny charges, the Nassau County district attorney's office said Tuesday evening.

Neither Leiton nor his attorney could be reached for comment.

Online court records said Leiton hadn't yet posted his $5,000 bail after his arraignment.

Authorities said Leiton victimized homeowners in Franklin Square, East Rockaway and Valley Stream who hired him to do Sandy repairs, taking about $7,000 in total payments without delivering the promised work.

Law enforcement officials said Leiton also took $2,500 from Merrick homeowners who had other non-Sandy storm damage, and didn't do their repair job.

Authorities said the county suspended Leiton's home improvement license in April 2012, and he wasn't licensed when he took the four jobs, claiming he was the owner of R&A Home Improvements, Inc.
