A 19-year-old Long Beach woman was driving drunk early Tuesday with a 15-year-old passenger, Nassau County police said.

Devon O'Neill, of 55 W. Beech St., faces felony drunken driving charges under Leandra's Law after being pulled over about 4 a.m. when she was observed driving erratically on southbound Austin Boulevard on Barnum Island, police said in a news release.

During the traffic stop, it was determined O'Neill was "under the influence of alcohol" and she was arrested, police said.

The passenger, a girl, was released to family at the scene, police said. Police did not describe the relationship between O'Neill and the girl.

O'Neill is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a felony under Leandra's Law; driving while intoxicated and other related charges.

Under Leandra's Law, driving drunk with a passenger age 15 or younger is a felony. The law was passed in 2009 after Leandra Rosado, 11, was killed in a DWI accident while a passenger in a minivan that crashed in Manhattan.

O'Neill was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
