A driver faces charges after he failed to signal while changing lanes on the Meadowbrook State Parkway Thursday night, then gave the trooper who stopped him a stolen license because there was a warrant for his arrest, State Police said.

The incident occurred at 11:12 p.m. near Exit M6 in Roosevelt. Amancio Milla, 44, of Queens, not only gave the trooper the stolen license, but was "uncooperative and would not reveal his identity," State Police said in a news release.

Milla was taken to the Valley Stream station, where he "refused to answer any questions or make any statements regarding his identity," police said.

A license check revealed an outstanding warrant for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. The trooper then contacted the person identified on the driver's license -- and was told the license had been stolen.

Milla was arrested on charges of second-degree criminal impersonation, obstructing governmental administration, third-degree bail jumping, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, misdemeanor unlicensed operation and traffic violations.

He was held for arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday, police said.
