Driver hurt as car overturns in Lynbrook

The driver of a car that overturned after a collision in Lynbrook early Monday was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, a fire official said.
The identity of the driver was not released.
A spokesman for the Lynbrook Fire Department, Steve Grogan, told Newsday the driver was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside by fire department ambulance.
The other driver did not require hospitalization.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Merrick Road and Curtis Place at 7:40 a.m.
Grogan said investigators were looking at a malfunctioning traffic light as a possible factor in the accident -- and said no one had been charged.
