Occupant hurt in East Garden City garbage-truck overturn, cops say

One occupant of a garbage truck was transported to a hospital with undisclosed injuries after Nassau County police said the vehicle overturned while making a turn Monday morning in East Garden City.
The one-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Commercial Avenue and Quentin Roosevelt Boulevard at 8:04 a.m.
Photos from the scene show the truck overturned near the local railroad crossing.
