A woman was hospitalized after she lost control of her car early Monday and crashed into a house in Malverne, police said.

The accident occurred at 2 a.m. on Hempstead Avenue near Ocean Avenue, Malverne police said. The woman, whose identity was not released, lost control of her 2010 Cadillac and knocked down a utility pole before crashing into the home on Hempstead Avenue, police said.

The woman was transported to South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside with undisclosed injuries, police said.

No one in the home was injured, according to police.

Police said the accident remains under investigation, and no charges are pending.

Building inspectors will inspect the home Monday to determine if it suffered any structural damage, police said.
