Driver shot in back in Roosevelt
A man who stopped his car in front of a Roosevelt delicatessen Tuesday was shot in the back, Nassau County police said.
First Squad detectives said the victim, 21, was driving south on Park Avenue at about 8 p.m. when he pulled over. The attacker then entered the vehicle, shot the man in the back and ran off, according to police.
The wounded man drove to Mollineaux Place and Babylon Turnpike, where he called police, according to a news release.
Nassau County Police Ambulance took the man to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, the release said.
