Police are searching for a driver involved in a hit-and-run in Merrick Monday morning. The accident on East Merrick Road and Lindenmere Drive left a woman with minor injuries, Nassau police said.

The accident occurred at 10:36 a.m., police said.

A description of the vehicle involved was not immediately available, though police confirmed that the driver fled the scene and was being sought.

It was not immediately clear if the injured woman would require hospitalization.
