Lachapelle's daughter was released to a family friend, police said.

Lachapelle was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. Leandra's Law makes it a felony to drive under the influence with a child 15 or younger.

She is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
