Hempstead man sought in 2 Nassau County robberies

A man wanted on an open robbery warrant, as well as an open state parole violation warrant, is also being sought in two Nassau County robberies, police said.
Nassau County police on Tuesday asked the public's help locating Dyshane Ravenell of Hempstead in two robberies in which a handgun was displayed.
Police said the robberies took place in Farmingdale on Aug. 23 and Hempstead on Oct. 20. It was not immediately clear specifically where the robberies took place or what was taken.
Police said Ravenell is 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds.
Police are asking anyone with information about Ravenell or his whereabouts to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
