A local Eagle Scout project has added a welcoming new pavilion and table to the garden on the Sisters of St. Joseph campus in Brentwood, which will serve as an improved community table for residents to pick up the garden’s harvest and fresh eggs. James Pizaro, 17, of Levittown, said that the Sunday ribbon cutting of the pavilion was the culmination of nearly a year of work and that he was heartened to add to the garden. Pizaro, the junior assistant scoutmaster of Levittown’s Troop 316, raised $3,500 to fund his Eagle Scout project, a leadership community service project that is one of the final steps before becoming an Eagle Scout.
