Four people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a two-car crash early Tuesday in East Atlantic Beach, Nassau County police said.

Police said preliminary results of an accident investigation indicate no criminality.

The crash occurred at 12:06 a.m. at the intersection of Beech Street and Mohawk Avenue.

Police said an eastbound car crossed the centerline on Beech, crashing into a westbound vehicle.

The Long Beach Fire Department responded to the scene, along with police and emergency medical responders.

Additional details were not immediately available, but photos from the scene show a mangled light-colored sedan with its roof crumpled and a door ripped off and debris in the street.
