The fire closed the shoulder, right and center lanes of the near Exit 40 in Jericho at about 10:30 a.m., Nassau County police said. Nassau fire officials said volunteers from the Jericho Fire Department responded to the scene of the fire.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured.
