Eastbound LIE reopens after crash

A fiery crash snarled the eastbound Long Island Expressway all Friday morning, backing up traffic from the Nassau-Queens border all the way to the Grand Central Parkway in Corona.
The accident occurred at 5:01 a.m. and involved two trucks, leaving three people with minor injuries, Nassau County police said.
The crash site was between Exit 32 and Exit 33, according to the state Department of Transportation.
One lane was reopened at 7:05 a.m. the other two lanes remained closed at 11:30 a.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.
All lanes were reopened for the evening rush.
