All lanes of the Long Island Expressway are open again after a Sunday morning car crash closed two eastbound lanes for several hours, Nassau police said.

The HOV and left lanes at Exit 40 were closed at about 7:45 a.m. as a result of the crash, and at least one person received medical attention, police said. The lanes reopened at about 11 a.m.

Nassau police had no further information about the incident.
