Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano on Friday ordered that U.S. flags be flown at half staff on all county government buildings until sunset, Aug. 15, in honor and remembrance of the four U.S Marines killed Thursday in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
In a statement, Mangano said, "this Country lost four members of the United States Marines in a horrific act of domestic terrorism" at two military sites.
"These four brave members of the United States military were proudly serving our Country to protect the rights and freedoms of all Americans," Mangano said in the news release.
