Elliott Fortune, 18, of 51 E. Pennywood Ave., Roosevelt, was charged with second-degree murder, first-degree attempted robbery and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was scheduled for arraignment Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said the victim, Sayvon Marcus Burt, was shot multiple times at about 4:15 p.m. Dec. 20, 2014, in an alley near the intersection of Park and Lakewood avenues.
