Cops: Man dies in fall from roof of Roslyn Heights home
A Roslyn Heights man died Friday night when he fell while working on the roof of his home, police said.
Nassau County police said Elliott Wertheim, 66, fell off the roof of the house on Shepherd Lane and was found about 9:30 p.m. lying face down and not breathing on his patio.
Relatives called police who performed CPR on Wertheim. A police ambulance took him to a hospital to be treated for severe head trauma, police said. He was pronounced dead at 10:17 p.m. No criminality is suspected and an investigation in ongoing, police said.
