Sen. Elaine Phillips (R-Flower Hill) unveiled LED signs on Thursday that went up around Clara H. Carlson School in Elmont. In attendance was Hempstead Receiver of Taxes Donald X. Clavin Jr. and his family. Clavin had lobbied to make the streets around the school safer for his children and others in the neighborhood.
