A bullet pierced Nassau Police Officer Arthur Lopez's uniform shirt next to the word "service" on a patch, according to testimony at his accused murderer's trial Wednesday.

Jurors in Mineola saw photos of the shirt Lopez, a 29-year-old Emergency Service Unit member, was wearing the day he was shot to death in October 2012.

Darrell Fuller, 34, of Queens, faces first-degree murder charges for killing Lopez and a motorist, Raymond Facey, 58, of Brooklyn.

Prosecutors claim Fuller shot Lopez in the chest during a traffic stop at the Nassau-Queens border after fleeing an accident. They say Fuller then shot Facey on the Cross Island Parkway and stole his car to escape the area.

Prosecution witnesses testified Wednesday that ballistics tests show the same Ruger 9 mm semi-automatic pistol was used in both slayings, as well as Fuller's shooting later that day.

Prosecutors have alleged Fuller had a friend shoot him so he could try to look like the third victim in the case. Police later found the Ruger in a car linked to one of Fuller's friends, according to previous testimony.

Prosecutors are expected to wrap up their case next week.
