Farmingdale woman hit by cement truck dies of her injuries, police say

A Farmingdale woman struck by a cement truck nearly two weeks ago has died fromg her injuries, the Nassau County Police Department said Wednesday.
Josephine Halby, 69, was hit about 10 a.m. July 11 as the truck turned left from Main Street onto Conklin Street in Farmingdale, police said in a news release.
Halby, who suffered “severe body trauma,” was flown by helicopter to a hospital where she was taken to a hospital via helicopter. She was pronounced dead Tuesday, police said.
The cement truck driver stayed at the scene of the crash, and no other injuries were reported, according to police. The release did not specify Halby's location at the time she was hit.
