Southern State Parkway in North Valley Stream reopens after fatal accident

The westbound Southern State Parkway reopened Monday after it was closed for nearly two hours for a fatal accident investigation, officials said.

The accident, reported shortly before 2 p.m., closed lanes in North Valley Stream from exit 13 to the entrance to the Cross Island Parkway until about 4 p.m., according to informny.com.
