The Nassau County police on Tuesday identified a 55-year-old man killed in a weekend two-car crash in East Meadow as Steven Diamond of Farmingdale.

Diamond was a passenger in a 2024 Nissan Altima going west on Salisbury Park Drive and turning left onto Carman Avenue about 1:19 p.m. Sunday when it collided with a 2012 Nissan Maxima heading north on Carman, the police said.

The driver of the Maxima as well as Diamond and two other occupants of the Altima where taken to a hospital where Diamond was pronounced, according to the police.

The driver Maxima, the driver of the Altima, and her other passenger were treated for minor injuries, the police said.
